Religious Education Programs and Grade Level Events
The Office for Religious Education offers several programs for the faith formation of children in the parish. These include Religious Education, Bilingual Religious Education, and Family Catechesis at Home.
Class Sessions: In both the English Religious Education & Spanish Religious Education Programs children attend a weekly class taught by a volunteer catechist with a classroom assistant. In the Family Catechesis Program parents are equipped with materials from the RE Program to teach their children in the home.
English Religious Education classes are offered to children in grades PreK-8 at the following times:
Sunday, 3:45-5pm
Sunday, 6:45-8pm
Wednesday, 5:00-6:15pm
Wednesday, 7:00-8:15pm
Bilingual Religious Education classes are offered to children in grades PreK-6 on Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm.
Grade Level Events:
The Religious Education program includes special events for several grade levels. These events involve the children in the life of the parish, provide more catechesis about liturgical holy days and seasons of the year, and supplement their religious education.
First Grade: Jesse Tree Celebration
Second Grade: Jesus Day Retreat
Third Grade: Parade of Saints
Fourth Grade: Passover Meal
Fifth Grade: Explanation of the Mass and Receipt of Bibles
Sixth Grade: Stations of the Cross
