First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
Preparation for First Reconciliation & First Communion
In the Diocese of Arlington, it is the norm for children to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation & the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time in 2nd grade. To prepare for these sacraments, children must be enrolled a formal program of catechesis either through the the parish religious education program, a local Catholic school, or an approved home school programs.
Registration for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist:
All children planning to receive these sacraments in the spring of 2011 must complete a sacramental preparation registration with the Office for Religious Education. Registration meeting dates are below. Please make every effort to attend one of these meetings to register your child for First Reconciliation/First Eucharist. At this meeting, families will receive information about preparation for these Sacraments, deadline dates, and First Eucharist Mass Dates.
First Eucharist Registration Meeting Dates:
October 13, 2010: 5:00 p.m.
October 13, 2010: 7:00 p.m.
October 17, 2010: 3:45 p.m.
October 17, 2010: 6:45 p.m.
October 18, 2010: 7:00 p.m. (In Spanish)
